I am delighted to see our village through the Google network. This reminded me of my childhood days which I fondly cherish. I congratulate the organisers of this programme. I am Professor Ganugapati Sree Rama Subba Rao, presently retired as Professor of Organic Chemistry & Dean, Faculty of Science, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and settled in bangalore. I was born and brought up in Kolavennu, studied at Punadipadu and left the village for Higher Studies in 1952. My father was (Late) Ganugapati Satyanarayana, Teacher. Our house, which we still have, is opposite to the Saibaba temple and next to the (Late) Chodavarapu Madhusudana Rao's house. I am happy to see the locations of Sivalayam & Pedda Gudi besides Ramalayam. I am aware of the building of Ramalayam through the efforts of the (Late) Yalamanchili Basavaiah garu after it was abandoned for fourteen years. There are so many incidents that I can recall which happened during our childhood. G S R Subba Rao,
